Juneteenth now a state holiday

Juneteenth is now recognized as a state holiday after legislation was passed by the Tennessee General Assembly. Starting this year, UTHSC will observe Juneteenth as a paid holiday, meaning all campus facilities and offices will be closed on June 19.

UTHSC Advisory Board Meeting Tomorrow

The UTHSC Advisory Board will meet tomorrow, May 12, at 10:00 am in the Mooney Library. The meeting will be conducted in person and will be available to view online. A link to the webcast will be posted on the board’s webpage.

Kosher Food
Drive

Donate to OIED’s Kosher Food Drive in commemoration of Jewish American Heritage Month. Drop off donations in the Madison Plaza on May 17 and 24 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, or at the OIED office during business hours. Donations benefit the Memphis Jewish Community Center.

APAHM Writing Contest

Celebrate Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month by taking part in a writing contest! Submit a poem or a short story about your most memorable experience with Asian culture to hsc-oied@uthsc.edu by May 26 at 11:59 pm. Three winners will receive a Poke World gift card!
