Remember, timed reservations are required for Members daily through January 11. Reservations are not required for Gardens Premium Members and Innovators.

| The splendor of A Longwood Christmas is made even more magical with the sounds of the season. Experience these musical delights during your next visit:

Organ Music: Enjoy automated organ music in the Ballroom from 12–5 pm and 8–10 pm, or join us for live organ music daily from 5–8 pm.

Open Air Theatre Fountain Shows: Catch fountains set to music daily at 10:15 am and every 15 minutes starting at noon (weather permitting).

Holiday Carillon Sing-Alongs (new this year!): Head to the Chimes Tower area and sing along to festive holiday music courtesy of the Longwood Carillon during this 15-minute automated playlist, daily at 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm.

Outdoor Musicians: Enjoy festive music while exploring our dazzling outdoor display. Look for the Olde Towne Carolers throughout the Gardens and Galena Brass outside the Peirce-du Pont House on select dates.

Delight in Free Upcoming Concerts

Experience the grandeur of the Longwood Organ this winter with free organ performances held in our elegant Conservatory Ballroom. Join us January 18 at 1 and 3 pm as Director of Music and Organist at the historic Grace United Methodist Church (Wilmington, DE) Gabe Benton makes his Longwood debut. Then, recent graduate of the Juilliard School and Director of Music at Cresheim Valley Church (Philadelphia, PA) Aaron Patterson makes his Longwood debut January 25 at 1 and 3 pm. The fun continues with additional performances throughout April.

KICK OFF 2026 IN THE COMMUNITY

Welcome 2026 at the Mushroom Drop in Kennett Square! Midnight in the Square kicks off on December 31 at 7 pm. Enjoy a laser light show, food vendors, a raffle, and so much more ... including an entertainment lineup that’ll keep you grooving all night long. Design Tuesdays @ The Garden Shop Workshops

Unwind with friends during our relaxed, hands-on workshops, held in our horticulturally inspired Garden Shop. Guided by our Plant Team Specialists, explore floral design techniques and work with a hand-picked selection of plants to create stunning pieces for your home. This February, discover the serene beauty of kokedama, the Japanese art of growing plants in moss-covered soil balls, and create your own living sculpture using simple, meditative techniques.

As you plan to visit this winter, please note some changes to our winter hours:

The Gardens will be closed all day January 12–13.
- Starting January 14, the Gardens will be closed on Tuesdays.
- The Indoor Children's Garden will be closed for routine maintenance January 26–February 6. It will reopen February 7.
