Staff Development Conference

The Staff Advisory Council will host the 2025 Staff Development Conference on Friday, June 13, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Bluebonnet Ballroom in the University Center. This event will explore opportunities for UTA staff to advance their careers and develop skills. Registration is required.

Windows 10 support banner with computer saying Windows 10 Support Ends Soon

Compliance pop-up

Users with devices running Windows 10 or earlier will receive pop-ups this week with details on how to bring their devices into compliance. University Windows devices must run on Windows 11 by Sept. 12, as Microsoft is discontinuing support for Windows 10 this year. Contact your DSA or visit the OIT project website to learn more.

Millions of steps wins Living Well challenge

With a grand total of 27,685,092 steps, UT Arlington is the 2025 Living Well “Spring Forward” challenge winner for the medium institution category. Thank you to all who participated and congratulations for winning the team challenge!

 

Performance Excellence Award

Participate in UTA’s ongoing award program, the Maverick Performance Excellence Awards. Colleagues nominated in this recognition program may receive paid time off for exceptional performance.

Upcoming fiber optic network installation

Over the summer, the Office of Information Technology will oversee new fiber optic network installation across some areas of campus to improve connectivity. These installations may require sidewalk closures and other physical barriers. Currently, the work path is scheduled from the Engineering Building to the University Administration Building through Friday, June 6. Please contact the IT Service Desk by chat, submit a self-service ticket, or call 817-272-2208 with questions or concerns.

Miss Juneteenth DFW Scholarship Pageant

The Miss Juneteenth Scholarship Pageant provides a forum for young women to enhance their self esteem, explore self-expression, and provide areas for personal development training. Come cheer on these young ladies Saturday, June 7, at 6 p.m. at the UTA Rosebud Theater. Tickets are required.
