On A Bus To St. Cloud: Townsquare WWJO/St. Cloud, MN Brand Mgr./on-air host Brooks O'Brian will be departing in two weeks for an as-yet-undisclosed new opportunity. She joined WWJO last June from the KSON/San Diego APD/MD/midday personality position (CAT 4/25/23). O'Brian had been with KSON since 2007, following time with KWNR/Las Vegas; KBUL/Reno, NV; and WYNY/New York. Reach her here. Started From The (Bell) Bottom, Now We're Here: "Blood, sweat, tears and years have led to this moment," Lainey Wilson told the press room following her Best Country Album win for Bell Bottom Country at last night's (2/4) 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Additional winners included Chris Stapleton's "White Horse" (Country Song and Solo Performance) and Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves' "I Remember Everything" (Country Duo/Group Performance). She joined the cluster in 2021 as Marketing Consultant and added morning duties in 2022 (CAT 4/6/22). Gram Slam: Last night's (2/4) 66th Annual Grammy Awards averaged 14.26 million viewers on CBS-TV, according to TVRatingsGuide, a 48.9% increase from last year's 9.58m viewers, and the largest audience for the show since 2020. In 18-49, the show pulled a 3.31 rating and 32 share, compared to last year's 2.24 rating and 18 share. |

Chronicle: Veteran record promoter Tom Moran, 70, died last week while on a fly fishing trip on North Michigan's Pere Marquette River. Retired for the last several years, Moran most recently was VP/Promotion for I.R.S. Nashville and host of the Inside Nashville podcast. His career also included stints as SVP/Promotion and Marketing at Nine North and VP/Promotion at Show Dog and Epic/Nashville, as well as prior jobs at Polydor/Nashville, Warner Bros./Nashville, Columbia/Nashville, Equity, Arista and Geffen. He also served as a consultant to Crush Management. A private memorial is planned; details for a Nashville celebration of life will be forthcoming.
Former WUSN/Chicago programmer Buddy Scott (Buddy Kincer) passed Sunday (2/4). "During his many successful years in radio he made hundreds of friends and helped so many achieve success," his family shared on social media. In addition to running consulting firm Buddy Scott Strategies, his career included stints as SVP/Programming for Clear Channel, VP/Programming for SFX Broadcasting, and PD of stations in Pittsburgh, Houston and Nashville. No word on services.
