Moores Member Receives National Clinical Trials Leadership Award

Congratulations to Moores Member and breast cancer oncologist Angelique Richardson, MD, PhD for being selected as one of only five recipients of the 2025 Robert A. Winn Excellence in Clinical Trials: Clinical Investigator Leadership Award.

This 3-year award, supported by the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation and administered by Conquer Cancer and ASCO, recognizes physician-researchers who advance clinical trial leadership and improve access to research for under-resourced communities.

Dr. Richardson expands access to breast cancer clinical trials and reduces disparities in treatment and outcomes, particularly for populations historically underrepresented in cancer research. Learn More>>

AI Enables Rapid Identification of Targeted Cancer Therapy

A recently published study led by Moores Members Scott M. Lippman, MD, Ludmil B. Alexandrov, PhD, with Erik N. Bergstrom, PhD has developed DeepHRD — an AI tool that detects a key cancer biomarker from routine biopsy images and delivers fast, accurate results, which bypasses the need for genomic sequencing so that oncologists can start targeted treatment sooner.
