  5. The Emergency Closure Pay and Early Release Policy is a new policy replacing the CO-CS-PR-13 Inclement Weather and Emergency Campus Closure Procedure. HR-B-PO-09 Emergency Closure Pay and Early Release Policy

The Compensation Procedure language was updated to reflect that if an internal transfer warrants a salary increase beyond the minimum pay range for the position being transferred to, the department will apply salary quartiles to determine an equitable salary. Department titles and names were updated throughout the procedure. HR-E-PR-30 Compensation Procedure
  7. The new Family Leave Pool policy and procedure implements Texas law regarding how benefits-eligible employees of UTA who accrue sick leave and have exhausted all other leave (sick, vacation, compensatory, administrative leave, sick leave pool) may apply to use hours from the Family Leave Pool. The Family Leave Pool provides an additional leave option to bond with and care for a child within the first year following birth, adoption, or foster placement; and/or to care for themselves or their immediate family members due to a serious illness, including a pandemic-related illness or complications caused by a pandemic.
