What an exciting moment for Downtown Phoenix, the Phoenix Mercury are back in the WNBA Finals!

Each home game will bring a sellout crowd of more than 15,000 fans into the heart of our city, creating energy and economic activity that none of us had planned for but all of us can benefit from.

This Is More Than Just a Sports Story

It’s a chance to showcase what makes our community special: an inclusive, vibrant Downtown that supports women’s sports, celebrates diversity, and comes together when it matters most.

With the NCAA Women’s Final Four coming to Phoenix next year, this is the perfect stage to remind the nation that Downtown Phoenix is ready to lead.

I encourage all of us, businesses, civic leaders and residents, to rally behind the Mercury, rally behind our community, and make sure our support is visible. This opportunity was earned through the hard work of the players and staff of the Mercury, and it offers our Downtown an unexpected gift: new visitors, new energy, and new attention.
