2024-25 SHRA Performance Cycle

You are receiving this message because you are a performance management coordinator for the Wolfpack Performance Program. I would like to remind you about the following:

The 2024-25 SHRA performance cycle started April 1. Employees and supervisors should engage in discussions regarding goals, objectives and professional development opportunities and enter those goals and objectives into the WPP system.

The Group-Build Process

In WPP, group-build, an automated process that occurs at the start of each performance cycle, is used to create performance documents. WPP automatically created those documents for active SHRA employees April 1 using the latest 2024-25 plan template. Supervisors can access their direct reports’ performance documents in MyPack Portal under the Team Performance tile. If a supervisor created a 2024-25 plan in WPP before April 1, you should instruct that supervisor to cancel that plan. After the supervisor cancels the plan, you should ask Employee Relations in University Human Resources to delete the plan. Ask the supervisor to start a new plan when you complete those steps.

The Define Criteria Step

Supervisors of SHRA employees must complete the Define Criteria step in WPP by June 1. This includes reviewing institutional goals, documenting individual goals, applying weights to each and adding any professional development opportunities.

For SHRA employees whose hire date is after April 1, supervisors have 60 days from the date of hire to create a plan in WPP and complete the Define Criteria step.

As performance coordinators, please ensure supervisors within your respective college or division develop plans within the required timeframe.

WPP Resources

UHR maintains a PM coordinator resource page, which includes user guides and instructions on how to use designated queries to monitor and track performance document progress. You may need to log in to access the page. UHR also hosts a library of videos and written guides that both employees and supervisors can access to learn how to use WPP.

Closing Out the 2023-24 Performance Cycle

Finally, the 2023-24 SHRA performance cycle ended March 31. All employees who were active as of March 31 must receive an annual appraisal, which should include an overall performance rating for the cycle, with limited exceptions. Supervisors must complete appraisals by May 15. Please use the PM coordinator resource guide as a reference and the designated query to track and monitor the progress of performance documents.
