   UNION FEST   

University Unions have been on campus for 77 years, and it is time to celebrate another birthday! Union Fest is an all-day event filled with activities, free food, giveaways and all-around fun. Join the party from 7:45 a.m. to midnight, Wednesday, March 4, with events happening throughout the University Union.

   WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH   

Every March, women who impact the world are celebrated and recognized during Women’s History Month. The theme for 2026 is Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future, honoring women who are reimagining and rebuilding systems to ensure long-term sustainability.

Check out the Women’s Business Expo and the Women’s History Month Celebration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the MLK Jr. Rec Center in Denton. 

 

   RING TRUE   

A UNT Class Ring is a reminder of the hard work, growth and memories made at UNT. In celebration of that journey, the UNT Alumni Association is awarding rings to two seniors graduating this spring. Applications are due Monday, March 2. Interviews will be held Monday, March 9, through Wednesday, March 11. Award recipients will be notified Friday, March 13.

   SAY YOUR VOWS   

Have you ever thought about getting married in the University Union? Come learn about Union wedding venues and prices at the inaugural UNT Wedding Showcase from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1, in the University Union Emerald Ballroom, Room 314.  

You also can sample award-winning catering and meet other North Texas-area vendors.

   EAGLE ALERT TEST   

A UNT Eagle Alert system test is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 27. UNT holds monthly tests to make sure the system functions properly. You will receive a text message, phone call and email from the system indicating that the message is part of a test.

   SCHOLARS DAY   

UNT Scholars Day celebrates outstanding research conducted by UNT undergraduate students who have the opportunity to present their work through an oral presentation or poster. Applications are due by Friday, Feb. 27.  

Visit the event from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, on the University Union third floor to explore innovative research from across campus.

   FINE DINING   

The College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism invites students to dine at The Club at Gateway Center. The Club offers opportunities for students enrolled in various hospitality management courses to gain hands-on, real-world training while providing a fine dining experience right on the Denton campus.

Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday through Wednesday, April 29, when a surprise guest chef will visit for the last lunch of the semester. The cost is $16 per student, and the menu changes weekly.
