UTA choir to perform with top ensembles

UTA’s A Cappella Choir, one of the nation’s premier collegiate choral programs, is poised for a groundbreaking semester of performances. Three collaborations with renowned conductors and ensembles are planned, starting with a performance of Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” at 7:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Morton H. Apply for a paid position on the 2025 Homecoming Board of Directors. The Promotions Director is responsible for homecoming marketing and outreach efforts, and the Programs Director solidifies the logistics for the schedule. The Genspiration Prize recognizes exceptional participants in the Student Showcase, which is hosted by the National Academy of Inventors and allows students to present their innovations to inventors, university leaders, industry leaders, and inventive institutions. Genspiration Prize Recipients receive $5,000 to help develop their innovations. You may apply individually or as part of a team by Tuesday, Feb. 11

Global Seal of Biliteracy
|
UTA students who speak a language in addition to English can take a test to potentially earn the Global Seal of Biliteracy certificate, a microcredential that conveys language proficiency. The test is offered in more than 40 languages through the Department of Modern Languages. Email proficiency@uta.edu for more information.

Russian immersion program
|
This summer, the Department of Modern Languages is offering an opportunity for students with little or no prior knowledge of Russian to immerse themselves in the language for three weeks on the UTA campus. Sponsored and covered by the National Security Agency, the Russian immersion program allows eligible students to earn language credits at no personal expense. Apply by Saturday, March 1.
