UTA’s Homecoming is Nov. 6-12, as we plan to celebrate with Maverick pride all week. The week's events will have something for everyone and showcase our spirit and support for our athletic teams. Enjoy our many Homecoming traditions, including the Parade and Street Festival, The Bash, coronation of the Homecoming King and Queen, 5K Walk/ Run/ Roll, Chili Cook-Off, and more.

The Office of Marketing, Messaging, and Engagement has launched the Maverick Factor advertising and branding campaign, with over 400 commercial spots in the DFW market and 10 billboards across the region. In this drive-thru-style school spirit event, Freshman Leaders on Campus will paint your vehicle windows with Maverick pride. Paint Your Ride will be Monday, Nov. 6, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at West Hall Parking Garage and Arlington Hall.

Student organizations, get ready to Chalk The Mall! Organizations will be assigned a square of the Library Mall to draw a representation of their organization with sidewalk chalk. Chalk The Mall will be Monday, Nov. 6, 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Join the Homecoming Crew and the Division of Student Affairs for the annual Chili Cook-Off, set for Wednesday, Nov. 8, 12 p.m.-2 p.m. Teams will compete to win the ultimate prize of chili cook-off champion, bragging rights, and a trophy. The event is open to all UTA students, faculty, staff, and alumni groups.

Homecoming Street Festival is back again this year! Enjoy a night of delicious food and fun-filled activities with family and friends. The festival will be Friday, Nov. 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Spaniolo Drive.

UTA’s Homecoming 5K is open to all UTA students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. All the proceeds from the event will go toward the UTA Emergency Assistance Fund. The 5K will be Saturday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Maverick Activities Center.

Call for heritage, history month programs
|
The Intercultural Student Engagement Center is now accepting events centered on educational and social issues, community building, and identity affirmation for the nationally recognized heritage and history months. Submissions will be included on a University graphic calendar marketed to the UTA community. Sign up now. The deadline to register an event for Black History Month is noon Wednesday, Dec. 20.
