Baptiste Morizot is a writer and lecturer in philosophy at the Aix-Marseille University. His work is devoted to the relationship between human beings and other living creatures, based on practices carried out in the field. 

New Spring Course

HISTORY 8S: Whales, Bombs, & the Race to the Bottom: Oceanic Histories of Law, Environmentalism, & Human Rights
This course examines histories of commercial fishing and whaling, nuclear testing, seabed mining, human rights at sea, and sea-level rise as avenues for understanding developments in international law over the course of the 20th century. STS majors can petition to have this course count towards the socio-cultural requirement in the concentrations Politics & Policy and Catastrophic Risks & Solutions.
