President Keller was out and about for the first day of Fall 2026 classes alongside UNT students, visiting with them as they took first day photos and found their classrooms — some even got to hitch a ride with Scrappy!

The Fall 2026 semester is off and running and it’s great to see campus bustling with students again! UNT offers many services to help you on your college journey. Here are a handful you might not know about:

-
ICYMI: The Diamond Eagle Student Resource Center moved into the former Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life earlier this month. If you are looking for the Food Pantry presented by Kroger, the Suit Up and Clothing Closets and Mean Green Gowns for Grads, make sure you are heading to the right place.
-
Through UNT, currently enrolled students can purchase an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription for $50 for the entire 2026-27 academic year. If you purchased a subscription through UNT last school year, it expires Tuesday, Sept. 1, and you will need to purchase a new one for the 2026-27 academic year — do that before Sept. 1 to avoid disruption to your access. If you have a pre-existing agreement with Adobe (a monthly subscription), you can cancel it early without an early termination fee when you purchase a UNT discounted subscription. The subscriptions through UNT do not auto-renew or have a monthly fee — just the one-time cost of $50 per academic year.

You’re invited to join the UNT Ring tradition — a celebration of your academic achievements and unique college story through a lifelong connection to your future alma mater! Customize and purchase your class ring in-person, by virtual appointment or in the online store during UNT Ring Days, now through Thursday, Oct. 15. Eligible students must have completed at least 60 undergraduate credit hours (and/or 15 graduate credit hours for graduate students).

These closures are part of the TxDOT merge improvement project on I-35W and I-35E. If you are commuting to and from campus on those days and at those hours, plan ahead to use an alternate route.

And it’s time to dust off those cowboy boots, Eagles! The 98th annual North Texas Fair and Rodeo is coming back to town Friday, Aug. 21, through Sunday, Aug. 30, at the North Texas Fairgrounds. Enjoy country music, livestock shows, rodeo events and — of course — fair food. Saturday, Aug. 28, is UNT Day at the Fair when students can show their ID at the gate to receive $5 off their ticket.
