Our Social Action Project |
| You are invited to participate in the Nechama Project, a social action initiative to assemble post-abortion care kits for a clinic. To be assembled at Convention, these much-appreciated bags are filled with items that might make someone's day a little easier once they leave the clinic.
An Amazon Wish List has been set up to purchase items such as maxi pads, heat packs, snacks, et cetera. Whether you attend the Convention or not, please consider purchasing a few items to be assembled at the Convention. Our goal is to deliver 100 bags to the clinic.
The Amazon items will be used to assemble care bags at Convention. Any questions, contact Robin at robin.krieger16@gmail.com.

Social Action Corner
The Western Wall |
The Israeli Knesset advanced a bill that could ban and criminalize non-Orthodox prayer at the Western Wall. The bill grants sole control of the Kotel, including the egalitarian section, to the ultra-Orthodox Chief Rabbinate and allow criminal penalties of up to seven years in prison for Jews who pray at the Kotel in ways that do not conform to their standards. This legislation lays the groundwork for excluding a majority of the world’s Jewish population, including women, from one of our religion’s holiest sites.
| |
We must make it clear that the Kotel must remain a place where every Jew can pray according to their conscience and tradition. Take action with WRJ today using this form to contact your local (or nearby) embassy.
