UTA biologist coauthors Nature study
|
Protecting large areas of land from human activity can help stem the tide of biodiversity loss, especially for vertebrates like amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds, according to a new study in Nature co-authored by Luke Frishkoff, assistant professor of biology.

New faculty and staff are welcome to join a campus tour on the last Friday of every month. Guided walking tours last approximately 1.5 hours. To attend, arrive at the Dan Dipert University Welcome Center, 580 South Center St., about 15 minutes before start time. UTA Police hosts National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Brazos Park. National Night Out is an event designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anti-crime programs, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. There will be free food, entertainment, games, and door prizes for guests.
