Helping Your Student Explore Connection Through Greek Life |
As students explore opportunities for involvement this semester, they may be attending chapter events, meeting fraternity and sorority members through their classes or activities, and learning more about recruitment and membership intake. While it can be exciting to get invitations and meet new people, this is also an important time for students to reflect on the kind of community and connections they hope to build during their college experience.

Fight the flu at Flulapalooza Sept. 25 |
Flulapalooza XIII will be Friday, Sept. 25, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Langford Auditorium. This fun-filled, efficient, fast-paced event is open to VU and Vanderbilt Health faculty, staff and students. There is no cost for the vaccine, and thousands are expected to attend.
Students should bring their Vanderbilt ID and wear short sleeves.
The Student Health Center recommends that all students get an influenza vaccination this fall—getting the flu shot is the best way to reduce the risk of getting and spreading the flu. If your student can’t make Flulapalooza, they can visit the Student Health Center beginning Sept. 28 for their flu shot.
