CCB Updates - February 2026 |
Thank you for your continued support as we keep improving the CCB. We've been hard at work behind the scenes We are working through the feedback from last year's survey - if you have any urgent requests or needs, please email us at toolbox@ku.edu.
Now, onto what's new!
You can now save accomplishments as drafts, so you don't have to finish everything in one sitting. If you're waiting on information or just want to get a head start on an entry, save your progress and come back to it later.
You'll notice the Save button includes a dropdown menu. All the existing save options (Save and Close, Save and Add Another) are still there, just tucked under one button to save space. And the new feature - save as Draft - which will save your work in progress, without finalizing it.
The only required field when saving a draft is the Activity Date. Everything else can be filled in later. When you are ready to finalize, open your draft and click Save to submit it as a completed accomplishment.

Where to find your drafts: |
| | You'll see a new Drafts option in the CCB sidebar with a count of your available drafts. Click in to view, edit, and submit them.
By default, most users will only see their own drafts. However, some users like Site Admins can see all drafts in their CCB. We can also give any user permission to view all drafts in the CCB. Let us know if this would be useful to your team!
Good to know: Drafts won't appear in your accomplishment listings, graphs, exports, or reports until finalized.
Please try out the drafts feature and let us know what you think!
Need to point a colleague to a specific accomplishment or draft?
Click the "Share Link" button in the CCB header to copy a direct URL to your clipboard. You can then paste it into an email, chat, or wherever you need it. Note that the person you're sharing with will need the appropriate permissions to view the item.
You can use this feature to share a draft you are working on, even if it does not show up in their regular Draft list.

SharePoint Workstation Landing Page Transition |
We're transitioning away from our old SharePoint-based Workstation Landing Pages. You may have already noticed some changes.
What this means for you: fewer login issues, faster page loads, and a more secure setup. We were previously maintaining two separate login systems, which sometimes caused errors, especially around unexpected logouts and refreshes. The new setup will consolidate everything into one application.
We'll be adding new features to the landing pages in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
As always, if you have questions, feedback, or need support, reach out to us at toolbox@ku.edu. We've got more updates in the pipeline and we'll keep you posted.
