Faculty Development Individual & Collaborator Awards |
The Office of Faculty Academic Affairs is accepting applications for two faculty awards designed to resource and support faculty pursuing professional-skill development opportunities:

The Individual Development Award will provide up to $8,000 for a faculty member to attend a professional skill-building training or educational session of their choosing, in alignment with their professional goals and trajectory.
-
Faculty Collaborator Awards provide funds for faculty members to complete train-the-trainer certifications in tools and competencies foundational to professional ascension in the biomedical and scientific fields, such as effective conflict communication, time management, mentorship, coaching, team-building approaches to leadership and change management. Applications due April 5.

UT System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Awards |
These awards are a symbol of the importance placed on the provision of teaching and learning of the highest order. The awards recognize those who serve our students in an exemplary manner and as an incentive for others who aspire to such service. $25,000 is presented to each of the awardees.
Applications due March 10.

Joe & Bettie Branson Ward Endowed Excellence Award |
Granted once every three years by UT’s Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, this award recognizes instructors whose teaching and research models develop students’ abilities, attitudes and behaviors to participate in and bring about positive societal change. A $6,000 honorarium may be awarded to each of the awardees.
Nominations due March 17.

NIH Grant Writing Boot Camp |
The NIH Grant Writing Boot Camp is a two-day intensive boot camp combining lectures, hands-on activities, and discussions to demystify the National Institutes of Health application process. This training will prepare participants to submit an NIH grant proposal that turns reviewers into advocates, positioning the applicant for success. The activity is hosted by Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
