Hi Ski & Ride School Pros,
We are quickly approaching the start of our first season with the Ski & Ride School experience in the My Epic app – an exciting innovation designed to enhance the group lesson experience for both guests and employees. This new technology will streamline check-in, provide real-time updates and photos during lessons to parents, and create a more engaging post-lesson experience through skill & progression tracking.

To ensure you are set up for success in delivering this enhanced experience, we have designed a robust training program to ensure you feel ready and confident. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to use the app effectively during lessons—from creating class lists and sharing photos to providing end-of-lesson skill reports directly with guests. Ski & Ride School leaders will also be equipped to support their teams with troubleshooting, coaching, and ongoing guidance throughout the season.
This training will be tailored to the specific needs of instructors and supervisors of group lessons whose roles require real-time use of the Lesson Connect app. Together, we’ll build a strong foundation for delivering a seamless, tech-enhanced guest experience.

LIFT Training - Lesson Connect and Ski & Ride School in My Epic

This training is your introduction and comprehensive overview of the technology investments in Ski and Ride School through this app.
- The LIFT training covers:

Introduction of Ski & Ride School in the My Epic app and Lesson Connect applications
- Goals of the new technology:
- seamless check-in
- in-lesson updates

progress & milestone tracking for guests
- digital class list management
- student profile information for instructors
- Guest-facing functions in the Ski & Ride School in the My Epic app

Employee-facing functions on the backend of Lesson Connect
- Access instructions
- BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) information & attestation
- By the end of the LIFT training, you will:

Understand the how to use the applications
- See a visual representation of application functionality
- Complete your BYOD acknowledgement and device election

Your leadership team will keep you informed when the Lesson Connect application is ready for download in December.

Facilitated Return Instructor Training
|

Facilitated Return Instructor Training (RIT) may vary from resort to resort. Some resorts offer in-person RIT while others are held virtually. During your RIT, whether virtually or in-person, your supervisors or trainers will guide you through how the applications will integrate into your resort’s operations.

Facilitated New Hire Training
|

Supervisors and trainers will help to familiarize new instructors on how these applications will integrate into your resort’s daily operations.

- In-resort office hours will be provided for any remaining training questions.

Additional Resources & Information
|
- You will be compensated for all required trainings, including the Ski & Ride School in the My Epic app and Lesson Connect LIFT training.

Though you can choose to use a personal phone, you will be able to complete all required Lesson Connect and Ski & Ride School trainings without the use of a personal phone. The LIFT training can be completed on a computer or tablet device, either at home or in-resort.
- If you miss training sessions, such as Return Instructor Training, there will be many resources available for you to come up to speed.
- You can start by taking the Lesson Connect and Ski & Ride School in the My Epic app training on the LIFT, which will provide a comprehensive overview of the coming applications.

You’ll also be able to reference resource materials like Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs), Policies, the Instructor Handbook, and the Reference Guide for up-to-date information regarding Lesson Connect and Ski & Ride School in the My Epic app. We will be providing teams with plenty of resources to help with the change to these new applications. Additionally, your leadership team will sit on daily hypercare calls regarding Lesson Connect and Ski & Ride School in the My Epic app where we will work with our IT partners to troubleshoot issues in real time. If you encounter any issues post-launch, please elevate them to your leadership team to be communicated to hypercare.
