Hey St. Lukers - how’s your Resurrection Monday going?
Next week, I leave with a few other St. Lukers and folks from two other churches on a trip to Mutare, Zimbabwe, to go and see the community groups that St. Luke’s sponsors through ZOE Empowers. It’ll be my first time on the continent of Africa, and my first time getting to see the incredible work that ZOE does firsthand.
As I think about what I’m being called to in my coming Resurrection Monday life, I’m excited to begin my Eastertide journey learning from our ZOE kids in Zimbabwe. We’ll get to travel to their villages, meet the family groups, and hear directly from them the way they have been learning about themselves, naming their dreams, and becoming entrepreneurs so that their lives of empowerment become empowering for their whole families and communities.
I don’t yet know what God has to show me, but I am so excited to find out. I hope you’ll be in prayer for our team as we travel, and during our time there.
