Continuing Education Scholarship application opens 3/1 |
The Continuing Education Scholarship provides up to 80% tuition support for eligible full-time staff in GVSU-authorized charter public schools who wish to take graduate courses.
The application window for Spring/Summer 2026 Semester is March 1 - April 15.

Principals invited to mid-year Leadership Forum |
Principals are invited to join GVSU in person for the next Leadership Forum event to hear updates on our support initiatives and explore data-driven leadership strategies that lead to change.
The Forum in Grand Rapids will be on February 25 from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., and the Detroit Forum will be on February 26 from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Leaders are asked to register by February 13.

College Prep Week application opening soon |
Students in grades 10-12 from GVSU's charter high schools are once again invited to attend College Prep Week this summer! College Prep Week attendees learn what it is like to a be a Laker while exploring what it takes to succeed in college.
Registration for College Prep Week 2026 will open in March. Space is limited, so don't wait to have your students apply!

Registration Support -- Math in Action 2026 |
We're once again happy to support math educators from our schools who would like to attend Math in Action, a one-day event at GVSU focused on current issues in mathematics education.
Those who would like to attend (either in person or virtually) can use code MIACHARTER26 to have registration fees covered. There is a limited number of promo codes, and they are available first-come, first-served until all codes have been used.

Charter Day at the Capitol is back! This annual event transforms the Michigan State Capitol into a celebration of charter public schools, featuring student voices and school community pride.
Want to get involved? Schools can sign up for a student performance spot or a school showcase. Share your school pride in Lansing on April 22, 2026!

A big thanks to all the Impact 30 grant recipients for helping our team surprise students, staff, and leaders all through January with fun award deliveries! It was a pleasure to be a part of so many celebratory moments as grant projects get underway.

2026 Bold by Choice Summit coming to Michigan |
The 2026 Bold by Choice Summit - hosted by the National Charter Schools Institute - is coming to Grand Rapids from April 27-29. It brings together leaders, educators, students, policymakers, advocates, and employers to reimagine what young people need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
This Summit is a great opportunity for representatives from GV charter schools to be inspired by big ideas and connect with national innovators.
