Check out this guide to learn the risk factors for cold stress and ways to protect yourself and others from harsh weather!
| |
Ways to Keep Yourself Safe:
- Bring and wear your entire uniform including face protection.
- Wear extra layers underneath your uniform.
- Bring a change of warm socks.
- Wear neck gaiters, insulated gloves, and appropriate footwear.
-
Look for the signs of frostbite on fellow employees and guests: white patches on skin, hard or waxy-looking skin can develop in one chair lift ride or ski/ride down. To resolve you will need to cover and warm the area. Keep the area covered after that.
- Frostbite Fact: Your fingers, toes, nose, ears, cheeks, and chin are the most common places for frostbite.
You are at risk if you work outside. Protect yourself from the cold! See our guides below for more information.
