Does your campus organization have something to promote or celebrate? First, post a news item and/or event in the CMS (or in Crimson Connect for student groups). Then, email Caitlin Aiello at caiello@iup.edu to find out how your information can be included in the publication. Items must be submitted to Aiello before Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. to make it into Friday’s publication. The information in The Pathfinder will also be displayed in digital ads across campus and on Student Affairs’ Instagram story on Fridays.

Rocky Bleier’s story—a gripping tale of courage on both the football fields of America as a Pittsburgh Steeler and on the battlefields of Vietnam. Injured in Vietnam, he was told he would never play football again. He tells his inspiring story of how he had to endure the physical and emotional recovery to play again. Rocky provides a motivational message detailing how ordinary people can become extraordinary achievers. The event, on October 24 at 7:00 p.m. in Jane Leonard Hall, Room 126, is sponsored by the Holistic Health Club.

Have you been Green Dot trained? The Haven Project and members of Sigma Chi invite all students to learn about Green Dot, IUP’s Bystander Intervention Program, on October 24 at 6:00 p.m. in Suites on Maple East, Room G-18. Change starts with you!
This training will equip students with information about barriers to action and realistic solutions so that fewer people will be hurt by power-based violence. This includes sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. If you do your small part, we can make a BIG difference.
