VBS Students Collect Food for
Maxey Elementary School

Our Children’s Ministry students are mission leaders as they collected food for the Restoring Hope Initiative to end childhood hunger during VBS in June.
Their collection of almost 1,000 shelf-stable food items will be distributed to Maxey Elementary families who have indicated a need for extra help with the increase in food costs.
Thank you Children’s Ministry for spreading love to our East Winter Garden neighbors.
Pictured are members of the Care Visitation Team. From L to R: Louise Pitts, Val Dobson, Beth Boros, Lisa Crump (CVT Coordinator), and Connie Falbo. Missing from this photo are CVTs Amy Fritz-Ocock, Trevor Ocock, and Julie Combs.
Pastor Jad Denmark commissioned Beth Boros as a new Care Visitation Team (CVT) Volunteer in the Chapel on Wednesday, June 22.
A CVT is a layperson on the Care Visitation Team who works alongside the pastors to provide loving care for the church family during times of illness or hospitalization, and also serves as the hands and feet of Jesus for those that need spiritual and/or emotional support.
They care not only for those hospitalized, but also for those who are in independent or assisted living, nursing homes, or those who may be homebound.
Joining Beth during this special service was her son, Brandon, as well as other Care Visitation Team volunteers, and friends from St. Luke's Single Servings Sunday School class.
Beth is a welcome addition to this team and will use her unique gifts and nursing background to bring comfort and care to all she visits.
If you have a parent or relative that you would like the Care Visitation Team to visit on a regular basis, please email care@st.lukes.org or call the Care Office at 407.876.4991 ext. 262.
Congratulations Beth!
