A Message from Ryan Leclerc, Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School Location Manager |
Greetings Beaver Creek Team,
We have officially crested the halfway point of the 2025/26 season—and wow, what a season it has been.
This winter has been unlike any I’ve experienced in my 16 seasons at Beaver Creek. Despite unseasonably warm and dry conditions, you continue to bring energy, passion, and excitement to the mountain every single day. You’ve adapted to what Mother Nature has given us, finding ways to elevate the skills of advanced skiers while also introducing many new guests to our lifelong sports—even with limited terrain and challenging snow conditions.
Many of you have also continued to invest in yourselves, growing your skills, knowledge, and professionalism through training opportunities and PSIA-AASI certification. Keep up the hard work and commitment to your development—it shows.
As we move into the second half of the season and continue delivering excellent guest experiences, I want to ask everyone to keep Safety of Self at the forefront. You always have the power to call a STOP—on the hill or at work—if something doesn’t feel right. If you experience a workplace incident or injury, please connect with a supervisor or manager within 24 hours so we can document it and help provide care and resources to you. We care about you, and we want to support you in getting what you need—immediately and without hesitation.
Thank you for the incredible effort you’ve put in so far this season. We’re 50% of the way there—not 100%—and now is not the time to let off the gas. I’m incredibly proud of this team and can’t wait to see what the second half of the season brings for each and every one of you.
With appreciation,
Ryan Leclerc,
Location Manager
Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School

Celebrating Black History Month |
| |
|
As we welcome February, we’re proud to recognize Black History Month and celebrate the profound impact Black Americans and Canadians have had on our two nations’ culture, progress, and story.
This year holds special significance, marking 100 years since the first national observance of Black history in the United States, which began in 1926 after being founded by Dr. Carter G. Woodson and the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. Learn more about the 100‑year evolution of celebrating Black history with an accessible overview of its origins and growth. This year, Canada also marks 30 years of Black History Month.
The Black Employee Network will host a mix of activations to educate, engage, and empower all Vail Resorts voices, by deepening our understanding of how the Black experience has shaped the present. To become a member or learn more, please fill out this form. Thank you for joining us in honoring this important milestone and celebrating the voices, history, and excellence that continue to inspire and move us forward.

Through Continuous Listening Surveys (employee surveys that are done in December and February), we heard you when you asked for more organized events to connect with your Ski and Snowboard School peers. We kicked that off yesterday with a Taco and Food Bank Night before Thursday Night Lights. Thank you to everyone who came and participated in either or both events. Stay tuned for more fun events like this to connect with your peers and celebrate our amazing team!
Thank you,
Robin Barnes
Senior Director of Skier Services
