SPRING COMMENCEMENT CEREMONIES

We Can’t Wait to Celebrate With You

...but before we do, there are some things you and your guests might want to know. While the temporary change of venue to Amon G. Carter Stadium will make this a truly unique experience, the change will also require everyone to approach the big day expecting something a little different.

Report to Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena

Whether you're a graduate (Class of 2020) or a candidate for graduation (Class of 2021), you should report to Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena using stadium gate 10 at least 45 minutes before your ceremony. From there, you'll be given further instructions before you process with your classmates into the stadium with all of the fanfare expected of such an important occasion.

Know who sits where

To adhere to current social distancing guidelines, stadium capacity will be limited to 10,200.

Graduates and candidates for graduation will be seated in sections 120-126 (aka The Student Section) on the stadium's east side.
The stage and faculty will be on the east side near the south end zone in sections 127 and 128.
Parents, families and other guests may sit in the north and south end zones, as well as the stadium's entire west side and the upper deck of the east side.

Borrowing gameday expertise

Safety is of utmost importance. For that reason, many of the same COVID-19 measures that were in place during TCU football games last fall, including face coverings and physical distancing, will be in place for commencement. You'll also notice hand sanitization stations throughout the stadium and multiple clean teams continually cleaning common areas. Let's all do our part to #ProtectthePurple .

Great views no matter where you sit

The entire ceremony, as well as pre-ceremony video programming, will be shown larger than life on the giant “Jumbotron” video board at the north end of the stadium and a smaller one in the south. Those unable to attend can catch it all via livestream.

Allow plenty of time

Guests may begin entering the stadium one hour prior to each ceremony through gates 6, 7 and 8 on the east side or gates 1, 3 and 5 on the west side. Physical distancing markers will be in place at each entrance and a clear-bag policy will be enforced, so please remind your guests to allow plenty of time to park, enter the stadium and find seats.

Concessions for your convenience

Concessions will be open, selling prepackaged and sealed drinks and snacks. For your safety, most transactions will be cashless.

Submit a 10-second video commemorating your time at TCU. Tell us about your favorite memory, what you're doing now, or share something else about your TCU experience. Segments will be shown during pre-ceremony video programming at the stadium and on live stream. The deadline for submissions is April 16, 2021.
