Jan Suchodolski, Ph.D. is a professor at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS). His technology focuses on enhancing canine and feline gut health by detecting chronic GI disease. A renowned researcher at Texas A&M University, Suchodolski is pioneering the future of veterinary medicine with cutting-edge technology focused on enhancing the gut health of companion animals.
The technology “A Fecal Dysbiosis Index for Assessment of Fecal Microbiota in Dogs” developed with co-inventors, Mustafa Alshawaqfeh, Bilal Wajid, Jonathan Lidbury, Joerg Steiner, and Erchin Serpedin, is at the center of an exclusive license between The Texas A&M University System and IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. InnovationU: Patenting and Publishing

InnovationU will be held on October 23 from 4:30 - 6:30 PM CST. The seminar, “How Patenting Can Benefit Publishing: Tips and Best Practices” will include panelists Dr. Gerard L. Coté, a Texas A&M Regents Professor and expert in biomedical sensing technologies, and Dr. Cynthia Hipwell, a recognized technology and business process innovator, and professor. Attendees will learn practical strategies for navigating both processes from these leading innovators. The session will include Q&A and networking opportunities, accompanied by light refreshments.
