Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On my last day as Dean of the Padnos College of Engineering and Computing, I would like to thank all the collaborators that have been instrumental in creating and growing the college. Together we have created a uniquely community connected college.
Thank you to our faculty, staff, industry partners, community agency partners, K-12 outreach collaborators, students, and alumni. You all play an incredibly important role in providing our students with a one of a kind “both and” education. Both theoretically rigorous and project-based learning. Great academic preparation infused with real world experience. Both great liberal education and professional education. And the list goes on.
As the saying goes, it takes a village. It is only through the phenomenal village that is West Michigan that we can have the synergy to give students this one-of-a-kind experience while simultaneously enhancing our community and being the go-to college for talent.
As I move into retirement, I encourage you all to welcome, engage and support Tim Born who is the Interim Dean for the Padnos College of Engineering and Marouane Kessentini who is the Dean of the new College of Computing. I look forward to their leading both colleges to new heights with your continued support.
As always, I enjoy hearing from you. If you have questions or comments, follow this link to Connect with the Dean.
