Congratulations, Rundong Ding |
for his latest preprint: HNCI High-Dimensional Network Causal Inference (https://arxiv.org/abs/2412.18568), co-authored with Wenqin Du, Yingying Fan, and Jinchi Lv! The problem of evaluating the effectiveness of a treatment or policy commonly appears in causal inference applications under network interference. In this paper, Rundong and his collaborators suggest the new method of high-dimensional network causal inference (HNCI) that provides both valid confidence interval on the average direct treatment effect on the treated (ADET) and valid confidence set for the neighborhood size for interference effect. The practical utilities of the newly suggested methods are demonstrated through simulation and real data examples. We look forward to seeing the far reaching ramifications of this fantastic work!

Summer 2025 Courses & TA applications
|
The Summer 2025 Schedule of Classes is available for viewing and registering. Students interested in taking the Summer Grad Exam Prep Course should register in MATH 590 section 39462 (lists Sami Assaf as the instructor). The exam prep course schedule will be sent out by April, but expect the class to run from mid-May to July 3rd.
Any new graduate courses in development will be announced in future newsletters, but there is no guarantee more graduate courses will be added.
The number of summer teaching assistantships (TA-ships) the department can offer has not been confirmed yet. We encourage you to explore other funded summer opportunities or Research Assistantships, and will definitely share any opportunities we receive.
If you are interested in applying for a Summer TA-ship, please fill out the Summer 2025 TA application form before April 4th. Please note that filling out the form does not guarantee a TA-ship will be offered.
