Since 2017, one participant in our annual Screenwriters Lab has received the Melissa Mathison Award. This year’s winner is Sarah Mokh and her screenplay Diary of a Muslim Cynic.
Posthumously honoring the Academy Award®-nominated screenwriter of extraordinary films such as E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL, the Mathison Award encourages new female voices in film with a staged reading of their script in New York City by a professional cast in front of an industry audience.
