Dear Eagle Nation:
We had a great opportunity to illuminate the ascent of Eagle Nation for all to see during our inaugural Coppin State University Gala, on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel.
When envisioning what would become our signature event, I challenged the Division of Institutional Advancement and Coppin State University Development Foundation Board to create an event that would not only celebrate our students, but also, illuminate the achievements of our university, and our global impact.Friday's event exceeded my expectations.

More than 550 of our friends and supporters came together for an an evening of celebrating all that Eagle Nation is, and all it will become, with the help of those who love Coppin, Baltimore, and Maryland.
We enjoyed a night of great food and entertainment, with performances from DJ Quicksilva, saxophonist Brach Cobb, DJ Ryan Kersey, and violinist Marvill Martin throughout the night.

Together, we raised more than $300,000 to support and enhance Coppin State University’s work to nurture potential and transform lives through education, fulfill its responsibilities as an anchor institution in Baltimore, and further elevate its status as a leader in urban higher education.

During the gala, we also had the opportunity to honor members of Eagle Nation who recognize the value of our institution and prioritize investment in the future of this university and our students.
