Dear Parent,
On behalf of the teachers and staff, I want to thank you for your support and dedication throughout the school year. The sacrifices you make to help our school be a wonderful learning environment do not go unnoticed. We appreciate everything you do and value the opportunity to be a part of your child’s life. Thank you for that privilege.
I continue to be inspired and grateful for the care and concern that the teachers and staff have for each child. The students are always their first priority. We strive to help the students make decisions that will allow them to find personal success, not only during their time here, but also in the future as well. I am thankful for the St. Vincent de Paul teachers and staff.
Our school has great kids! Thank you to our students for working so hard this year. They make me very proud in both their academics and generous hearts. They are all such a blessing!
I want to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Warneke, Mr. Horner, Fr. Dan, and
Fr. Roza for their dedication and support of the school and me personally. I have been blessed by their presence and inspired by their commitment.
As you know, Fr. Dan will be retiring after 19 years as Pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. His dedication and devotion to the spiritual formation of people of all ages is evidenced through the many programs he supports, promotes, or has instituted. Fr. Dan believes that all ages must be recognized, nurtured, and inspired to grow stronger in their faith.
Fr. Dan’s support of the five-day school goes above and beyond any priest I have ever had the honor to work with. He has always made it a priority to teach in the school, and we all know he is very busy, but it is important for him and our students. The students enjoy his visits and are disappointed when his schedule does not allow him to visit. He has always attended all the students’ concert, or any gathering that involves our school children.
Over the years it would not have been considered odd to see Fr. Dan wearing a hard hat! When I approached Fr. about starting a preschool and adding a junior high-wing he immediately began laying the groundwork for these additions. Every step of the way he was part of the process and most recently worked tirelessly with many others for our beautiful parish center. He never took a backseat to any of the projects that were undertaken at St. Vincent de Paul Parish and School.
From a personal perspective, Fr. Dan is a supportive and caring leader, boss and friend. He is never judgmental and always fair. He has the ability to see the good in all but when needed can make the difficult decisions. He challenges us all to use the gifts we have been given and make a positive impact. I respect his opinion and have always valued his input. I wish the very best for him as he moves into a new adventure. I believe that St. Vincent de Paul School is a better place because of Fr. Dan’s presence over the last 19 years. I know I am a better person and principal because I shared many years with Fr. Dan! May God continue to bless him!
As we leave for the summer, please remember all the families that need our prayers. May God give those families comfort and strength. I hope your summer days are filled with beautiful memories. May God bless and watch over everyone until we gather back together in August!
In appreciation and gratitude,

Principal
P.S. Thank You Mrs. Madrigal!
One person whom I have worked very closely with every day is Mrs. Madrigal. Mrs. Madrigal will not be returning for the 2023-2024 school year. After 22 years she has decided to embark on a new chapter. There are very few people who truly understand the workings of a school office. Mrs. Madrigal has worked tirelessly to do what is best for students, parents, teachers, staff, and visitors. She has been the first point of contact for new families, and I always knew she would represent our school community with kindness, care, and compassion. She is a team player and has proved that countless times over the years. I pray that God will continue to bless her in her next chapter and that she knows how important she was to all of us!
Summer Days!
As we move into the summer months, we hope all families have the opportunity to spend time together, make memories, and enjoy the days. There is nothing like summer to rejuvenate all of us. We do encourage students to not completely walk away from school subjects. There are not many students or adults who can completely walk away from most things and retain everything. Research does show that there is a summer slide if children do not stay engaged in some way. Please, please, have students read, go over math concepts, utilize Simple Solutions, or however your child learns best. Zearn Math is available for all students, and it is a great way to stay up to date on what they already know. Have fun trying different ways to keep learning! Thank you!
