Julia Deems, Teaching Professor in Communications
Olin Faculty Feature

"I was grateful to have Professor Deems for Effective Managerial Communication last semester. She did a fantastic job of linking course concepts to our lived experiences as working professionals,...I know I'll be using the communication strategies and Professor Deems' feedback in both personal and professional settings for years to come!"  Nick Ponch, PMBA 53

Julia Deems's educational expertise is a triple threat in the classroom.  Students fortunate to participate in her courses find themselves critical thinking and challenged by varied methods in best practices to improve decision-making enriched with team development!  That is a win-win, and it can be proven with former student quotes.

"Dr. Deems is a passionate instructor. Her course on managerial communication stood out as one of the most impactful educational experiences I had at Olin Business School. Her unique ability to captivate her students and foster an environment of active engagement is truly remarkable...She has inspired me to pursue a continued growth and professional learning journey."
