Stay Up to Date: Workday Notifications and Task Management |
All W&M employees are reminded to regularly log in to Workday, just as you would check email or Teams, and to ensure that notifications are configured to your work preference. This will allow you to remain informed and avoid missed or delayed tasks.
To effectively manage assignments, it is recommended to enable push notifications on your mobile device and/or email. A job aid is available to help with the setup process if needed. If you would like to get a daily digest with all your notifications, change the frequency to “daily” instead of “immediate.”

Goal Management & Check-ins Now Available in Workday |
We’re excited to share that individual goal management and check-ins are now available in Workday.
Employees can create, view, edit, delete, and archive their goals, and managers can create goals for their direct reports and approve submitted updates.
Check-ins provide an easy way for employees and managers to document conversations, track progress, and share feedback throughout the year, supporting ongoing development, performance, and career growth.
These functions will also support the performance evaluation process for the review period May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027.
Job aids to help you navigate these new features are available in the section below.

When creating positions:
Use the specific building where the employee works and receives mail (e.g., Bell Hall, Discovery 1). Do not use “William & Mary.”

Primary Location: Should automatically match the position’s building (enter it if blank).
