Brock Gives Keynote Address at Digital Humanities Conference |
André Brock, associate professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, gave a keynote address at Keystone DH, a conference sponsored by the Center for Digital Humanities at Johns Hopkins University. In his talk, “Weighing In: Blackness at Scale,” Brock explored the impact of Western perspectives on Blackness in machine learning applications and asked what it would take to create a large language model that better represents and understands Black culture.
