Don't Forget to Vote!
If you are studying in DC but registered to vote in another state, drop by the AU Votes table for help with mailing your absentee or mail-in ballot on Tuesday, October 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the MGC first floor lobby. Please note that AU will be closed on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 for the US General Election. Apply to Join the CAS LEAD Program!
Are you a first-year student who is engaged or interested in social justice, activism, leadership, and/or ethics? You can combine the CAS LEAD certificate with any major in CAS - and there are lots of STEM students in the program! The program focuses on issues of social justice and race as well as public speaking, dialogue, ethical reasoning, community-based learning, and leadership development.

Department of Defense SMART ScholarshipApplication Deadline: December 6, 11:59 p.m., 2024
The science, mathematics, and research for transformation (SMART) Scholarship-for-Service program offers scholarships for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students pursuing STEM degrees. All scholarship recipients receive full tuition, annual stipends, internships, and guaranteed civilian employment with the Department of Defense after graduation. There will be a webinar held on November 6 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. for interested applicants.

Robyn Rafferty Mathias Student Research Conference
The College of Arts & Sciences is pleased to announce that the 35th Annual Robyn Rafferty Mathias Student Research Conference will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in person at AU's Don Myers Technology and Innovation Building. This event is a forum for CAS undergraduate and graduate students to present original research, scholarship, and creative work before colleagues, faculty, and friends. If interested in presenting your research, abstracts must be submitted by February 3, 2025.
