Since the individual pictures only show from the shoulder up, students may dress up on the top and dress down on the bottom if they choose. If they choose to dress up completely, that is acceptable. Either way is acceptable for picture day. Please refer to the handbook for specifics on items that may be worn for half dress down days. 

Registration fees for 5th/6th grade book club are due September 9th so that books can be ordered. There is a family who has offered to pay registration for children who could not otherwise participate due to cost. Please contact Dr. Marchese if you have been holding off on registration because of the book fee.

6-8 Grandparents Day Parent Volunteers Are Needed!

Please volunteer where you are able. Without volunteers, activities like this would not be possible. Thank you in advance for your help!

Parents are in need for setup and greeter work from approximately 8:00-9:30.  Then a crew is needed for server and clean up work from approximately 9:30-11:30.

The School Store will reopen on Monday, September 16th, with a proposed delivery date of Friday, October 11th.

A new year is upon us, and it’s time to restock some of our recess equipment. You all were so generous last year and put recess inventory in good standings. However, one type of ball seems too wear out faster than the rest, and classes seem to go through them at a higher volume. If you would wish to help us out, we are in need of some playground balls. I have attached a couple of links of examples of what we would need. We need ones that are durable for the pounding and use outside. Playground balls that are thinner in material tend to get warped and lose air faster than those that are thicker. We thank you for your generosity and support to help restock our recess playground balls.

After School Care Employment Opportunity: The hours for this part-time position would be Monday through Friday from 2:45 P.M.—6 P.M. during the school year August-May. The pay is $13.50 per hour. Email Diane Warneke at warneked@svdpomaha.org to apply for this position.

School Cafeteria Employment Opportunity: St. Vincent de Paul Catholic elementary school kitchen is accepting applications for a full-time position. Help put smiles on students’ faces by preparing fresh cooked meals daily! Looking for a “self-starter” whose duties include prepping and serving meals, running the Point of Sale program, cleaning up and assisting in the kitchen as needed. It is a fast-paced environment with some heavy lifting involved. Work hours follow the school calendar. The hours are M-F 7:30 A.M. to 2 P.M. on all days that school lunch is served. CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD - Registration for 2024-2025 NOW OPEN FOR REGISTERED PARISHIONERS!

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based religious formation approach for children. A child must be 3 years of age by September 1 to register. Three sessions are offered. Please register for one: Wednesday, 4:15 P.M.-5:30 P.M., Thursday, 9:00 A.M.-10:30 A.M., or Friday, 8:45 A.M.-10:15 A.M. Space is limited; registrations taken until we are at capacity. Awesome Angels Children’s Choir!

All parish children in grades 3-8 are invited to join the Parish Children’s Choir. This special choir will sing once a month at a Sunday Mass along with the "Blessing of the Animals," Christmas Eve. 4:00 P.M. Mass, First Communion, and Easter Sunday 9:00 A.M. Mass. Rehearsals are Wednesdays in Church beginning September 11th from 3:15 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.
