Dear colleagues,
Undergraduate student enrollment trends are an important piece of our ongoing aim to broaden access to academic data and inform planning efforts. I’m pleased to share that the website now features last academic year's (AY 2024) data. In addition to overall enrollment numbers, you’ll see enrollments by program of study and degrees conferred. The Graduate and Faculty Data pages will also be refreshed in the coming weeks. These pages are a resource for faculty and help inform planning and discussion. I encourage you to take a look and send any questions or feedback to provostdata@wm.edu.

The Virginia Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (VASEM) recently announced its new members for 2024. I’m honored to share that Dennis Manos, CSX Professor, Vice Provost for Research and Graduate/Professional Studies, and I have both been named VASEM members this year. VASEM is charged with focusing the nation’s foremost scientists, engineers and healthcare professionals on the challenges facing the Commonwealth. Having W&M’s perspective as part of their work represents an important recognition of W&M’s contributions in these fields and is a testament to our progress in our Vision 2026 journey. We look forward to sharing additional insight with you following the VASEM Annual Summit next month.

They presented results over five sessions to students, faculty, staff and members of the community. More than $250,000 was awarded to Summer 2024 FUSE recipients representing 25 majors, 59 employers, 15 countries and eight U.S. States.
