Dear Eagle Nation,
As we stand at a pivotal moment in our nation’s history, I want to remind each of you about the power of your vote. Voting is not just a civic duty—it is an opportunity to shape the future we envision for ourselves, our community, and the generations to come. Every election offers a chance to lift our voices and ensure they resonate in the decisions that impact our lives.

Here at Coppin State University, we are committed to fostering a campus culture where civic engagement is paramount. I encourage each of you get out and vote today, and particpate fully in the democratic process. Your vote matters. When we come together to participate in this fundamental right, we pave the way for positive change and progress.
Let us continue to uphold the legacy of resilience, leadership, and empowerment that defines Coppin. Make your voice heard—go vote. EAGLES VOTE!
I was honored to speak at this year’s Baltimore Teacher Network Beacon of Light Awards Celebration, where I was also humbled to receive the 2024 Champion of Education in Service to the Community award. As one who's life has been profoundly changed by incredible teachers, I know firsthand the power of a quality education.
