NW Cyber Camp for Teens is Coming to Ashland!
Southern Oregon University is the latest host site for NW Cyber Camp. The experiential program has been introducing Oregon teens to cybersecurity skills and careers since 2016, but this will be the furthest south it's ever reached. The free day-camp in Ashland will be led by SOU Computer Science professor, Dr. David Pouliot, during the week of August 10-14.

Cyber Camp allows 8th-11th graders to step into the role of cybersecurity pros. No experience required—just a passion for problem-solving and an interest in technology. Campers learn technical skills as they solve a cybercrime in a workplace scenario. NWCC @ SOU is also seeking guest speakers from industry. Please reach out to nwcybercamp@pdx.edu to volunteer to tell your career story or lead a lesson about social engineering, phishing, OSINT, etc.

UO's TSOC Now Serving 3 Diverse Clients in Oregon
To get their new program off the ground, TSOC started by serving one larger public service client. With the success of the program, the team has now added two additional clients: one rural county and one small rural city. They continue discussions with several additional potential clients from city and county governments, public institutions, and special districts. These entities with few resources are exactly who OCCoE was created to serve, and we are excited to celebrate TSOC's success!
