Please join us in congratulating our 2025 award and scholarship recipients, who were honored during a luncheon during the National Health Care for the Homeless Conference & Policy Symposium in Baltimore last week. Each of them has made an indelible impact in their community.

NHCHC Strongly Opposes House Bill that Cuts Millions Off Medicaid

Late last week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a budget bill that will take Medicaid away from more than 10 million people and bury states, providers, and low-income people in costly and unnecessary administrative red tape.

We strongly oppose this bill and call on the U.S. Senate to reject these measures.

Training Series Will Explore Strategies for Individual and Collective Care

Join us this June and July for a wellness training series tailored for staff of medical respite and Health Care for the Homeless programs. These virtual learning sessions will cover topics including compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma, coping with the complexity of overdose grief, burnout among leadership, and more.

Guest speaker Lexi Alberts, LICSW, will lead discussion on strategies for individual and collective care. 

All sessions are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. CDT.

June 26: Understanding & Coping with Overdose Grief

July 10: Powers & Burden of Leadership
