LENTEN FOOD DRIVE
Giving to those in need is one important part of our Lenten journey. OLV is pleased to be participating in the Annual Archdiocesan Lenten Food Drive to benefit the Mulholland Family Foundation and the 9 parish food pantries they support in Washington’s poorest neighborhoods. Food insecurity continues to be an urgent need in DC, and your help is especially needed this year.
Please limit your donations to the items listed on the grocery bag sent home with your student.
Please bring your bag(s) of non-perishable food items to the church on or before the weekend of April 5th-6th.
$25 Giant Gift Cards are also welcome.
If you are unable to participate because you are out of town, monetary donations (used to purchase fresh produce, milk and eggs, meat and poultry) may be made online using a credit card at www.mulhollandcharities.org/donate/ or mail your donation to:
Mulholland Foundation
1629 K Street, NW, Suite 300
Washington, DC 20006
Thank you for making a difference for families in our area and for your generous support!
CYO MASS & BLESSING: SUNDAY, APRIL 6TH AT 10:30 A.M.
To all participants, parents, coaches, and friends of OLV CYO:
Please attend Mass on Sunday, April 6, 2025 in uniform or in any kind of Blue Hawk gear to celebrate all our CYO activities and receive a blessing of the Holy Spirit on us all.
Players may sit together or with their families, and we will call up all of the teams and coaches for a blessing after Holy Communion.
If you would like a role (such as serving as a reader or usher) in the Mass, please contact Sheila Martinez at smartinez@olvchooldc.org.
BORN FOR THIS: FRIDAY, APRIL 11TH AT 6:00 PM IN THE CHURCH
A wonderful tradition during Lent is to pray the Stations of the Cross. A dramatic interpretation will be presented by our 7th Grade class on Friday, April 11th at 6:00 pm in the church.
This is a very moving production; we recommend it for Grades 3 and up. We do hope many parents and friends will be able to join us for this prayer.
Please find Fish Fry information below "In Parish News".
