Gad Allon Reflecting on a Decade of Leadership at the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology

After 10 years as faculty director of the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology, Gad Allon is stepping into a new chapter – one that brings him back to his roots as a builder and entrepreneur. During his tenure, he reshaped the Program’s curriculum, expanded its global footprint, strengthened its entrepreneurial ecosystem, and deepened its sense of community. Allon reflects on the moments that defined his leadership, the evolution of the program, and what comes next.

What It Will Take to Make AI-Enabled Robots Safer

In a new collaborative paper in Science Robotics, a team of researchers including Vijay Kumar and Hamed Hassani call for a layered approach to developing safer robots powered by AI: clearer built-in rules, checkpoints across robotic systems, and contextual training that teaches machines to recognize when “reasonable” becomes risky.
