The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) received 17 applications requesting $21.9 million in tax credits for the 2026 Federal Housing Tax Credit Program. Several key dates are highlighted below, however, please refer to the QAP for the complete program timeline.

April–May 2026: Application deficiency period
- June 3, 2026: IFA Tax Credit Reservation recommendations presented to the IFA Board of Directors
- December 31, 2028: Deadline for all buildings in the project to be placed in service
