Is Your Course(s) in Canvas? |

When Copying Content into Canvas |
Here are a few things to keep in mind as you get ready to copy content into your course from another Canvas course:
|
Automatically Assign 0’s in Canvas |
We encourage you to apply a missing assignment policy in your Canvas courses this semester. Awarding missing assignments a zero as soon as the due date has passed gives students a clearer idea of their performance throughout the term.
|
Students appreciate having access to their courses for preparation and planning purposes. If possible, please try to publish your course/s at least 24–48 hrs before the first day of the term.

Help Us with Classroom Blackouts |
A few faculty have reported all the monitors and/or the projector abruptly blacking out in the classroom during lectures. Sometimes everything comes back up on its own, and sometimes they have called for help immediately. Based on peer professional online discussions, this phenomenon is happening worldwide. We suspect this is due to overheating, but it is seemingly random and not replicable at this time.
If this happens to you, call 256-824-7700 immediately if the screens do not come back. If they do come back, please send us an email after class to helpdesk@uah.edu with the location, the approximate time it occurred, and what programs you were running. If you remember the order in which you started the programs, include that as well. We need your help to gather the data that will help us fix this problem. We appreciate your help.
