Do not miss your opportunity to secure your classes for the Spring 2026 semester. Registration is now open for priority, senior and junior students. Registration opens Monday, November 10 for sophomore students and Thursday, November 13 for first-year students. As spots may fill up quickly, be sure to register as soon as possible to get the courses you need. Updates on open sections will be sent via the CEOE Advising Canvas (here) as updates become available.
Reserved seats will be released on business and humanity courses on Monday, November 24. If you have any questions or need any assistance, be sure to refer to the CEOE Spring Registration Advising Bulletin (here), speak with your Faculty Advisor for recommended elective courses, and contact your Academic Advisor.

POWER Engineers, a member of WSP, is currently seeking an Entry-Level Civil/Structural Engineer to work in its Power Delivery Transmission Line Department in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Scholarship Opportunities |
|
|
SMART scholars, through the Department of Defense (DoD), offers scholarships for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students currently pursuing a degree in one of the 24 STEM disciplines. SMART scholars receive full tuition, annual stipends, and guaranteed employment with the DoD after graduation. The scholarship is due December 15. Additional information is available here.

The American Society of Highway Engineers North Central New Jersey Section Scholarship |
The American Society of Highway Engineers North Central New Jersey Section Annual Scholarship is dedicated to supporting the academic and professional aspirations of students. The application is available here and closes December 5, 2025. Over the last two years, CEOE students have won the first, second, and third place scholarships.

The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Research Institute Scholarship |
ACEC Research Internship has created a portal with a list of scholarships available to engineering students. Deadlines range from January to March 2026. Students can view the scholarships here and register to apply.

The International Concrete Institute Metro New York Chapter Scholarship |
The International Concrete Institute Metro New York Chapter has officially opened their scholarship applications. Two students will be selected to receive a $2,500 scholarship. Last year, two Stevens civil engineering majors were awarded this scholarship. The deadline is November 18. Additional information is here.

TPD Career and Internship Information Session
|
Description: TPD is a full-service transportation engineering firm that does a variety of work in the transportation industry. TPD is located throughout PA, NJ, DE and NY. The presentation will give students the opportunity to learn more about a small culture focused transportation engineering company, as well as gain insight into projects the company has completed. Two young professionals (Rich Liput & Kyle Robinson) will be present to answer any questions related to their journeys in engineering, the field of transportation engineering and the environment that TPD fosters throughout the company.

Description: Brad Miller and Andy Kaplan will share their journeys from Stevens co-op students to leading transformative transportation projects in Hoboken and beyond. This seminar explores the role of professional organizations like the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), cutting-edge Intelligent Transportation Systems, and proven strategies for creating safer, smarter streets. Attendees will gain practical insights and career guidance to thrive in traffic and transportation engineering.

Speakers: Brad Miller, PE, PP, PTOE, LEED AP, Stevens class of 2006, is a transportation professional with over two decades of public and private sector experience in transportation planning, engineering, and system management. He is the National Specialty Practice Lead for Traffic Engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for Michael Baker International and has managed numerous multi-modal safety and mobility improvement projects and ITS deployments regionally and nationwide. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Stevens Institute of Technology and is involved in multiple professional organizations, including serving as the 2025 President of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Metropolitan Section of New York and New Jersey.
Andy Kaplan, PE, PTOE, RSP1, Stevens class of 2009, is Manager of Planning for Technology and Operations at the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA), where he leads regional efforts to integrate technology and operations into Metropolitan Planning Organization plans and processes. Previously, he held traffic engineering leadership roles at the Port Authority of NY & NJ, advancing airport operations and managing the regional Traffic Management Center. A recognized national thought leader in traffic safety, Andy has earned multiple honors, including ITE’s International Transportation Achievement Award and FHWA’s National Roadway Safety Award. He lives in Jersey City with his wife and two young children.

Fall 2025 Sustainability Series
|
The Hugo Neu Corporation Sustainability Seminar Series, organized by the MS program in Sustainability Management, is an effort to connect students to professionals in the field of sustainability. This is a weekly series sponsored by Hugo Neu Corporation and jointly sponsored by Geosyntec Consultants. Cosponsors are Brown and Caldwell, Lozier Inc., The Catalyst Group, and H2M Architects and Engineers. The seminars happen every Tuesday between 5-6pm via Zoom. In addition to review sessions, the department will host MA 121, MA 122, MA 221 and ENGR 211 drop-in hours for the Fall 2025 semester.
Beginning the week of September 22, tutors are available at the below times to assist with: homework questions, understanding key concepts, preparing for exams and study tips and strategies

CEOE Exam Review Sessions
|
The CEOE department will be hosting review session for several upcoming exams. The sessions will all take place in Davidson Lab 238 (CEOE Center for Student Success). Students should enter Davidson Lab through ABS. Students are welcome to come to any portion of these sessions. The tutor hosting the session will have a set of review questions they will run through and then there will be extra time for any specific questions students may have.
