My name is Helga, and I am a certified classical Pilates instructor, trained through the Comprehensive Peak Pilates Certification program. My journey with Pilates began as a personal practice—I was drawn to it as a way to better understand my body, improve strength, and support overall well-being. What started as something just for myself gradually became a true passion.
After moving to the United States, I decided to deepen my knowledge and pursue professional certification. Following my training, I began teaching Pilates and working with clients from a variety of backgrounds, including those recovering from injuries, experiencing chronic tension, or simply wanting to move better and feel stronger.
What I love most about teaching Pilates is witnessing how people transform—not only physically, but in how they connect to their bodies. My teaching philosophy is rooted in classical Pilates principles, with a strong emphasis on precision, alignment, and mindful movement. I also value creating a calm, supportive environment where clients feel safe to progress at their own pace.
I believe Pilates is more than exercise—it’s a powerful tool for healing, awareness, and long-term well-being.

My name is Rayne Tafoya and I am excited to join the team at Active at Kruse Woods. I have been dancing professionally for over 20 years and am blessed to have traveled around the world and the US showcasing ballet, modern and hip-hop.
I received my degree in Choreography with a focus in Kinesiology from Arizona State University. I took some time off to raise some awesome kids with an awesome husband and am excited to be in a new season of my life.
I am passionate about safe alignment and building strength that supports the body in the ways we use it everyday. I believe movement and exercise are powerful tools of connection and self expression and bring people together.
I look forward to getting to know the incredible people in this community and sharing good vibes on our journey to vibrant health and wellness

Building Resilience Through Contrast Therapy |
Contrast therapy—alternating between heat (like saunas, hot showers, or baths) and cold exposure (ice baths, cold showers, or chilly outdoor air)— does more than test your grit. This practice helps improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and train your nervous system to adapt to stress. When you expose your body to controlled temperature changes, your blood vessels constrict and expand, stimulating blood flow and helping your body recover faster after workouts. It also strengthens your stress response, teaching your body to stay calm under pressure—physically and mentally.
