Hello SCL Colleagues,
In looking back at my almost 18 years in Student and Campus Life, the moments that stand out the most for me are those where I was given opportunities to work with others and build skills that were essential to my success.
Working together with colleagues has always further connected me to my peers throughout the university and strengthened my skills. Because SCL is such a large division serving a wide range of student and staff needs, collaboration is essential to our success. Whether it is an event with the scope of Family Weekend or move in, or the daily work of feeding, mentoring, and supporting students, our strength comes from working together.Â
I encourage all SCL staff to consider how you can encourage your teams to collaborate and innovate across the division. We are stronger, and our community is stronger, when we combine our vision and talents in true collaboration.Â
Sincerely,
Brandon Fortenberry
