Family Weekend is coming up Sept. 25-27, offering a full weekend of opportunities to experience and celebrate all things CC.

Students, invite your families to campus and show them what makes CC feel like home. Together, you can sit in on a Microblock class, explore campus and Colorado Springs, attend events and activities, and connect with faculty, staff, students, and other members of the CC community.

Faculty and staff are also encouraged to take part throughout the weekend and help welcome visiting families to campus. If you are interested in volunteering for Family Weekend, please reach out to Amber Martinez at amber.martinez@coloradocollege.edu.

Family registration is open through Sunday, Sept. 13, at 11:59 p.m. MT.

Lilly Asano ’27

Senior Lilly Asano ’27, a Colorado College journalism minor, received The Denver Press Club’s top award this year for her student journalism.

She will accept the $3,000 John C. Ensslin Memorial Scholarship award at the Club’s 2026 Damon Runyon Award Banquet in Denver later this year.

For Colorado College students who dream of becoming physicians, the path from a liberal arts education to medical school just became a little more direct.

Through a partnership with the University of Northern Colorado College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNC COM), qualified Colorado College students can receive a guaranteed interview for admission to UNC COM, subject to availability and the program’s eligibility requirements.

On Saturday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m., hear firsthand from four residents of Gander, Newfoundland, whose generosity toward nearly 7,000 stranded airline passengers on Sept. 11, 2001, helped inspire the Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away, opening at the FAC main stage on Friday, Sept. 10.

Brian Williams, Brian Mosher, Oz Fudge, and Claude Elliott will appear live via Zoom on screen on the FAC’s mainstage to share their stories of kindness, community, and human connection. The conversation will include a live Q&A, with opportunities for both in-person and online attendees to submit questions.

The event is free and open to the public. RSVP to attend in person at the FAC or online.
