| UNCG offices that support proposal submission
| |
The College of Arts & Sciences Office of Research supports faculty and students as they prepare and submit external funding proposals. College faculty should review our Start A Proposal page to learn where to start. This process includes internal steps managed in Cayuse SP along with preparation of the external application. Proposal preparation and submission are also supported by several units within the Division of Research and Engagement (DORE):
- The Office of Strategic Initiatives and Research Development (OSIRD) provides proposal development services, including managing limited submission opportunities and consulting with faculty on funding prospects.
- The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) reviews, approves, and manages final submission of external funding proposals; negotiates awards, subawards, and contracts; and carries out other institutional-level grants management tasks.
- The Office of Research Compliance and Integrity (ORCI) oversees IRB, IACUC, and COI processes at the proposal, just-in-time, and post-award stages. ORCI also manages export controls, biosafety, responsible conduct of research trainings, and more.
Contract and Grant Accounting (CGA) is part of Finance. CGA collaborates with OSP and works closely with principal investigators to set-up and manage grant-related financial tasks, including creating funds in Banner, approving expenses, sending invoices, and financial reporting.
